DENVER, CO - United States Senator and Agriculture Committee member Ken Salazar today released the final specific details of his first round of his Farm Bill listening sessions across Colorado, scheduled for August 2006. Senator Salazar will host his listening sessions in the San Luis Valley on August 11, in Northeastern Colorado on August 15, in Grand Junction on August 18 and in Adams County on August 21. Senator Salazar will host more listening sessions later this year in other regions of Colorado. Farmers, ranchers and the public are invited to join Senator Salazar to share their ideas about the upcoming reauthorization of the Farm Bill. Many of the issues expected to be of paramount importance to farmers and ranchers include funding for disaster mitigation programs, drought relief, commodity support, bio-fuels investments and trade issues.
